Dear PEJU Friends & Family,
Over 40 years ago, Tony came to me with a crazy idea. He told me he wanted to move our family to Napa Valley. At the time, we were living in Los Angeles with two young children, our daughters Lisa and Ariana, and I wasn’t keen on moving. I didn’t drink wine, in fact, I had never heard of Sauvignon Blanc.
In the fall of 1983, we packed up and headed north to Rutherford. Working side by side with Tony, I quickly learned the business – Tony was the winemaker, and I took on Marketing, Finance, and Administration. I created wine labels, wrote tasting notes and newsletters, sent our wines to media, managed bookkeeping, and a whole lot more. From the start, Lisa and Ariana were involved in our family business. It has been one of my greatest joys to see them take on new roles and responsibilities and grow into the leaders they are today.
As I reflect back over the four decades, I think of all the wonderful people who’ve supported us along the way. Thank you! And by the way, I now adore Sauvignon Blanc!
