What is Monarch Justice Center?
A justice center is a location where survivor services for domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, child abuse, and all other kinds of abuse are hosted and coordinated under one roof. These services include mental health, forensic medical, legal, police, advocacy, public assistance, and other local organizations working together to reduce the burden on survivors. A lack of cohesion and united systems leads to confusion, attrition, and perpetuates the ongoing cycle of violence in our communities and nation. Family Justice Centers are being built around the United States and the world to stop this cycle.
The new justice center in Napa Valley that is just beginning to welcome survivors and is now developing a multi-year plan to build a facility that would be similar to those in Nashville and San Diego, but on a scale with the needs of the Napa community.
