Harvest has been at the heart of our lives since 1983, when our family first planted roots in Napa Valley. Each year, as our vineyards come alive with the hustle and bustle of harvest, we are reminded of the magic that drew our parents to winemak-ing in the first place. The long days, crisp mornings, and the scent of freshly picked grapes fill the air with a sense of excitement and tradition that we cherish deeply. For us, harvest is more than a season; it’s a celebration of the hard work, passion, and commitment that goes into every bottle of PEJU wine—a special time that brings our family, team, and community together.
2024 marks the 19th harvest of our beloved winemaker, Sara Fowler. Sara reports “the July heat brought smaller berries, which is great news for us. We anticipate an average to slightly above-average yield, with wines of incredible concentration and intensity. The quality in our estate vineyards has us feeling very optimistic.”

RICOTTA POTATO GNOCCHI
Butternut squash coulis, mushrooms, chive oil & Pecorino pepato
In celebration of the Italian heritage of ‘The Farm,’ Chef Nic has crafted a fall-inspired gnocchi to complement this distinctive wine. The bright acidity and red fruit notes of ‘The Farm’ enhance the delicate flavors of the gnocchi, while subtle hints of cocoa and cedar elevate the earthiness of the mushrooms. The wine’s cinnamon spice beautifully balances the sweetness of the butternut squash coulis, while its elegant structure pairs seamlessly with the savory richness of Pecorino pepato. Our 2021 ‘The Farm’ is a refined blend of 82% Sangiovese and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, expressing freshness and depth. It opens with aromas of red fruits and a hint of cocoa, evolving into layers of strawberry rhubarb pie and cedar, underscored by subtle cinnamon spice.
