Chef Nicolas Montanez
Receiving the Employee of the Quarter award is both a meaningful recognition of my performance and a reminder that the work of the Culinary Department does not go unnoticed. This recognition would not be possible without the talented and dedicated culinary team I work alongside every day—I am only as successful as the team around me, and I accept this award on behalf of the entire kitchen team.
I also truly appreciate the strong family culture that defines our workplace. Having the opportunity to communicate directly and frequently with the Peju’s reinforces the feeling of working within a genuine family-owned business.
If given the opportunity to swap roles with anyone, I would choose our winemaker Sara Fowler, as I would love to experience firsthand the complexity, craftsmanship, and deep understanding required to produce wines of such exceptional quality.
