To the Peju family, We were so lucky that on our first visit to Napa Valley over the Easter holiday 2007, a friend recommended a stop at Peju. As we took a leisurely drive through the beautiful wine country we passed the sign and had a moment when we weren't sure if we should turn around or keep going. Luckily we made the U-turn and enjoyed what would be remembered as our favorite afternoon in Napa. The grounds were breathtaking, the sculptures gorgeous, and the general atmosphere was welcoming and fun! Did we mention the wine was wonderful? What a terrific place, we recommend it to anyone who is visiting the region. Well worth the $48 shipping we now pay to have cases delivered to New Jersey! We have Peju parties to introduce our East Coast crowd to this wonderful winery.

Our dad absolutely loves Peju wine and will go on ad nauseum about it if you let him. He always breaks open a bottle for 'special' company so that they, too, can taste the glory of Peju! I go crazy over it also, but it will be some time yet before I can afford it for myself! So I just visit mom and dad as often as I can and drink theirs.
Here is a quick story you may appreciate...my mom has always been a wine drinker, but my dad always preferred beer. He was usually just apalled at what my mom used to spend on wine, and would just shake his head at anything that cost more than $10/bottle.
My fiance and I were living in northern California a few years back, and dad and mom came out to visit. We took them on their first tour of Napa, and my dad got hooked! I think it was Peju that turned him onto wine, and now we all get a big kick out of this football watching, beer drinking guy go on and on about the "five noble varieties of bordeaux" and sticking his nose way down into wine glasses, and so on. You converted him, and my mom couldn't be happier!!

It was the 3rd weekend in September of 1996 Nick and I went to Napa and spent the night, the next morning we got up pretty early and he surprised me with a Hot Air Balloon ride which he later told me he wanted to propose on the Balloon, but said that it was too crowded. He then asked me if I wanted to go wine tasting and of course I said yes. As we drove around he wasn’t stopping at any wineries until we came to Peju winery and I commented on how beautiful the outside was so he parked and asked me to sit down by the fountain and he knelt down and asked me to marry him, I will never forget that day or Peju winery. We love your wine, and Peju winery is one of the most beautiful wineries in Napa.

Dear Peju Family and Winery:
On Tuesday, August 28, my girlfriend, Esme, and I visited to your winery during our 3-day visit to the Napa Valley. We have been Peju "fans" for some time, after first tasting your wine at the Rustic Cellar in Boca Raton, FL.
We had an outstanding tour of the property by Mike. Additionally, your hospitality in allowing us to enjoy lunch at your picnic table truly added to our amazing afternoon. I am attaching some photos from our visit so that you may see what an enjoyable afternoon we had. We are now members of your wine club and look forward to having your great wines in the future.

We're sending this photo of Alan Arnopole, who proceeded to provide the most entertaining and informative wine tasting in the entire valley. We've visited many of the wineries, probably more than most, and Alan was a hands down winner with us. Alan, keep up the good work and good fun. You're the Grand Master of Napa Rappa!
