December Wine of the Month: Sparkling Rosé

December 22nd, 2015 @ 01:00pm Haley Sansom Wine of the Month 0

‘Tis the season for holiday parties and New Year’s Eve celebrations. When you think about these festive occasions, what kind of wine comes to mind? For me, it’s Peju Sparkling Roséwhich is why I have chosen it as our December Wine of the Month. Normally, a Peju Tasting Room Ambassador takes over the blog for the wine of the month segment, but I love our Sparkling Rosé so much that I couldn’t resist telling you about it.

1. What is your chosen “Wine of the Month” and why?

It’s extremely difficult for me to choose just one wine, I love so many of them! If I had to choose one wine to talk about right now, it would be our Peju Sparking Rosé since we’re heading into the holiday season.

2. What is your favorite thing about the Sparkling Rosé?

What is there not to love about sparkling wine? It’s a gorgeous pink color and I feel extra festive with a glass of it in my hands. I love bringing a bottle of the Sparkling Rosé with me to holiday parties because it usually ends up being the hit of the party. It’s also the perfect wine to pour as you ring in the new year or serve as the toasting wine on your big day. It’s very versatile, which means I can enjoy it year-round.

3. How would you describe the aromas and taste of this wine?

This wine instantly hits your nose with aromas of strawberries, watermelon and cherries. When you taste it, you experience wonderful notes of stone fruit interlaced with hints of apple and pear. It’s delightful without being overly sweet or too dry.

4. What would you pair with the Sparkling Rosé?

I think what I love most about this wine is that you can pair it with everything! I love serving it as an appetizer wine with oysters and especially enjoy it paired with anything dark chocolate. A glass of Peju Sparkling Rosé also pairs really well with a bowl of popcorn and your favorite movie on a cozy night in.
