Peju Merlot Sangria

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients   Amount
• Sugar
• Orange
• Blackberries
• Strawberries
• Mint Leaves
• Peju Merlot
  1/3 cup
1 each
1 pint
1 pint
4 each
1 bottle

 Method

  1. In a small sauce pot add sugar and ½ cup Peju Merlot; mix until it forms a wet sand look.
  2. Turn on heat and cook for 3 or 4 minutes until it looks like a rich burgundy color syrup.
  3. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and place in a large pitcher, which will be used for the finished sangria.
  4. Add cut up fruit and berries, and rest of the bottle of Merlot.
  5. Chill over night.
